The easiest way to support Ben's Lighthouse is to make your donation online. Each donation comes with a Ben's Lighthouse Supporter's certificate.
Here are alternative ways to donate:
To encourage employees to support their communities, many corporations will match gifts made by their employees to nonprofit charitable organizations. This allows a company to extend the reach of its corporate giving while at the same time supporting what is important to its employees.
Please check to see if your employer - or your spouse's employer - matches gifts. You may be able to multiply the amount of your gift at no additional cost to you.
A pledge is a formal statement of intention to make a gift and support the fund's priorities. With a pledge, you may spread out the gift by making regular payments over time. This allows you to complete the gift on a schedule that works for you, enabling you to give more generously than you originally may have considered.
Giving stock is an excellent way to show generosity while realizing tax benefits. A gift of appreciated stock is deductible from your income tax at the stock's fair market value, and you avoid the capital gains tax that would otherwise result from selling the stock and making a cash gift to Ben's Lighthouse Fund
When making a stock gift to Ben's Lighthouse Fund, please be sure to inform us so that we can process the stock gift in a timely manner. In addition, please have your broker contact fund chairman Rick Haylon at 203/577-9774 to receive information that will facilitate the transfer.
